FireFly is a simple learning management system (LMS) that makes it extremely easy for organizations to:
- Post learning content online (e.g. Flash files, documents, podcasts, videos, webinar recordings, training aids, quizzes, etc.);
- Control access to learning content (via an eCommerce payment gateway or Personal Identification Numbers); and,
- Monitor activity (e.g. registrations, course completions, learner feedback, certificates issued, etc.).
FireFly is an automated system that saves you time and money. Learners set up their own accounts, run through learning modules, complete quizzes and print off their own PDF certificates upon completion. You see what learners are doing in real time through an innovative backend database.

How do I know that FireFly is the right solution for my organization?
FireFly is the right solution for your organization if:

Learners register themselves into FireFly. You can control access through either Personal Identification Numbers (PIN’s) or buy having learners pay for access through an eCommerce-enabled payment gateway.

How can FireFly be customized to my organization?
The look and feel of your FireFly installation can be completely customized to your organization in terms of labeling and the use of your brand’s colour palette and logo. Everything from the look and feel of the course materials through to the learner certificate are branded to you. In our example we show how we branded FireFly to ENCON Group Inc., a large commercial insurer.

What if I want to have learners participate in online discussions?
You can create discussion forums and relate these to any resource you upload to FireFly. Learners who register for that resource are automatically provided with access to the corresponding forum.
What kind of reports can be generated from FireFly's backend database?
You can customize a wide range of reports on usage of your eLearning resources, including:
Can FireFly be used to manage in-person learning/training events as well?
Yes, you can have prospective learners register (and pay if necessary) for in-person events. Instead of receiving access to an eLearning resource, registrants can be given access to a PDF document that provides all the information they need (eg. dates and location, map, schedule, session information, logistical information, etc.). You could also provide pre-session reading material. And this could all be done automatically, with very little adminstrative follow-up necessary.
What does FireFly cost?
There is a one-time set-up and customization fee of $10,000 + HST (Canadian clients).
Thereafter, a licensing /hosting fee allows for up to 500 users for an annual fee of $5,000 + HST.

How Much Money Will I Save?
This will vary from client to client, but savings are realized in three ways: moving learning online, which lowers the cost of course delivery; user-initiated registration, which saves registration administration costs; and automated learning verification, which saves on verification and certification costs. These savings can easily amount to $100 per learner and grow as learner volumes increase.
How long does it take to set up a FireFly installation?
A normal installation with a minimum of customization (e.g. branding only) only takes about two to three weeks.
Is training available for FireFly?
Yes, we will fully train whoever in your organization is responsible for administering FireFly. This usually takes no more than one afternoon as the system is so easy to use.
Who is Behind FireFly?
eLearn Campus is a full service eLearning consulting company that has been in existence since 2003. We offer eLearning design and development services for a wide array of clients in the private sector, associations, non-profits and higher education.
Our clients wanted a way to host their eLearning resources, but were not satisfied with many of the options that were open to them. Many existing learning management systems are exceedingly complex and expensive for the fundamental needs of organizations. Many of our clients just need to post content online, control access to it and monitor learner activities. So we designed a simple system that focused on these needs.
FireFly is what has emerged out of this work – a simple, automated way for learners to access learning content (either via provided PIN#s or via an eCommerce payment gateway) and for organizations to monitor activity (registrations, quiz results, completions, feedback, etc.) without costly administrative overheads.
